Our Philosophy
K9 Klan Clubhouse is a place of learning for both human and dogs. We like to think of this space as a school for dogs.
Having focused on home-visit trainings for the past few years, K9 Klan Clubhouse was developed due to the increased needs for owners to now help their dogs grow outside their homes. It is key to dogs to be amongst their kind, no matter how much we have fulfilled them inside the house. Through dog-to-dog socialization, our dogs learn how to balance and express themselves better. It is not only an outlet to release their physical needs but also to fulfill their mental needs as a social animal.
As their owners, who no doubt love them greatly and want to protect them at all costs, we often focus on protecting them physically and have unconsciously sacrifice their mental needs in the process.
Plenty of white fluffy dogs have been kept to their most prestige beautiful appearance but are in fact, so bored and stressed out of their minds as they cannot get dirty at all - therefore, not allowed out of the house or allowed to interact with any other dogs. Now imagine you live a life like that - you are so beautiful with perfect skin, hair and figure but you are never allowed under the sun nor out of the house nor allowed to touch anything that could hurt you, say even a piece of paper? How happy will you truly be? How much of your life would you deem is worth living?
Of course we do not want to create an unsafe environment and we take your dogs safety as our highest priority. We do believe in going through with nature ways as much as possible and intervene when it is dangerous. Dogs need to express themselves and only then can they listen if they feel heard.
Whether your dogs are here for boarding or for daycare, we want to give your dog the opportunity to always bring something home. It could be a day of play satisfaction, a boost of confidence, a small step coming out of their shell or simply a curious day of observing - your dog is learning! Its a day well spent. And that is a huge pat on your back as the owner, who let your dog have this chance and you taking that leap of faith for the better of your dog.
